Perhaps the word is polish, beyond re-re-re-re (ultra countless) edits. Another point also jumps out of the lake like a trout in full sunshine. The look back shows us --- we changed our writing style slightly from years ago? Or: We tend to both add a bit more while also possibly subtracting? One's combing of a novel might always certainly then become searching for any mistakes.
