Unfortunately, items have only one modification timestamp and this is updated upon using the edit feature. I think adding additional modification time stamps would only serve to make the system more complicated and confuse members. As it has stood since the portfolio system went into effect, completing an edit of an item updates that item's last modificated time.

Note, however, that you can change access restrictions and/or move an item from one folder to another using the portfolio system. These are options available when viewing your portfolio (or the item's folder view) -- and neither of these actions using the POS affect modification time.
