My Christmas Story
It was Christmas 2006. Now, not to be nasty but I don't have the brightest sister on the planet. Sometimes you would think she's a walking talking stereotype of a blonde joke. Regardless of this I do love her, I just happen to find her very amusing.
My family has a lot of jokers in it, and my sister is often the butt of a lot of their jokes, so this Christmas came as no surprise.
Anyway, my sister had gotten portable radio headphones to use. She was walking around the backyard trying to get a decent reception.
My uncle told her if she wrapped foil around her finger it would help. So she ran off to the kitchen to get some...I don't think I have to verify that it didn't work.
My brother told her to get a metal coat hanger and hold it in the air...my sister is incredibly gullible.
So my mother suggested she touch her foil wrapped finger to the clothesline with the coat hanger in hand, metal to metal might help. So she did...again, no success.
So my uncle then told her to stand on one foot, which again she did willingly.
Everyone else was trying to contain their laughter when my uncle snapped a picture of my sister standing on one foot, her finger wrapped in foil holding a coat hanger to the clothesline.
Now this would be amusing under normal circumstances, those being the child in question is simply that...a child. But my sister at the time of this event was 15 years old.
This is one of the funniest Christmas stories to come out of my family’s events, and still gets told at Christmastime.
