I believe you are asking for a "default" filter method (while your at that, you could add custom filters). Which I would say would be useful,

The problem is, I'm not sure WDC is currently set up well to be suited for such a method. If it was implemented tomorrow it could be rather troublesome, even if it was by default off.

If there was an area where it would show all the folders and the new emails in each of them. Then that might work. However, as it is now. You wouldn't know if the filter sent a file to your "Review Email" folder or not, unless you actually checked it.
