Okay, Andante and I were bored last night, and a little bit today. So, we named all 32 Basic Fundamentals, and Andante came up with how each one works, more or less.

Thought you guys might like a loverly list.

OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE POSITIONS
Flagellant’s Scale---Weapon held behind back, // to spine w. fighter’s side to opponent
Dragon’s Fang---Front weapon held along leading leg, ready to attack or defend
Derk-ra’s Claw---Back weapon held above head, ready to attack or defend
Brakir’s Shield---Wrists crossed in front of chest, ready to attack or defend?

TRAVELING ADVANCES AND EVASIONS
Diagonal Step---One advancing or retreating diagonal step
Lizard’s Scurry---Several rapid diagonal steps in same direction in straight line
Waving Grass---Running feint w zigzagging diagonal steps
Darting Fish---Diagonal Step ending in a half twist of the torso to avoid a blow
Rushing Bull---Head on charge
Reverse Rushing Bull---Throwing yourself rapidly backwards to avoid opponent’s advance
Parting River---Sudden diversion from a Rushing Bull
Rolling Water---Cartwheel into a flanking position
Tumbling Rock---Somersault

STATIONARY MANEUVERS AND EVASIONS
Waving Grain---Stationary feint from side to side with feet firmly planted
Sparrow Hop---Jump
Dust Devil---Spin

GRAPPLING TECHNIQUES
Little Rock---Catching an opponent’s limb or head in two handed grip
Tangled Weeds---Hooking opponent’s leg w your own
Crashing Wave---Hooking opponent’s arm w your own
Snake Pursuing Prey---Sliding arm over opponent’s chest/hip to achieve leverage in prep for a throw
Uprooted Tree---Throwing opponent

ARMED STRIKES
Ravin In Flight---Arms open outward like wings, parallel to the ground, to deliver powerful strike
Reaper’s Scythe---Powerful downwards strike
Reverse Reaper’s Scythe---Powerful upwards strike
Crow’s Feet---Both weapons thrust forward, crossed at wrists
Kyda's Bow---Running tackle to knock an opponent off his feet.
Falling Star---Short downward stab or slash
Reverse Falling Star---Short upward stab or slash
Scorpion’s Sting---Rapid, downwards stab, chambered in Derk-ra’s Claw

UNARMED STRIKES
Offered Bowl---Ridgehand strike
Refused Bowl---Palm heel strike
Mule Biting Rocks---Bite
