That's what I do in my blog, only I go one step further---I hide the keywords:

{hide}keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3...{/hide}

A book item search still pulls those entries up, even though those keywords are hidden. *Wink* And I don't have to "see" them when I'm reading through.
