Yes, it's the right place to post questions. On WDC, almost any place is the right place for questions, actually!
Hmmmmm. Okay, I'll answer whatever I can in the best way I can, but there might be different viewpoints on some of these, it's not hard and fast.
1. I wouldn't recommend classifying anything as 'Other' because other doesn't show up on lists and your work gets less exposure. So wherever possible, please pick an item type, genre, whatever.
2. There's a separate classification for "lyrics" so that's easy!
3. Really good way of figuring the comma question!

I learnt something!
4. A 55 Word Story is a complete story told in exactly 55 words - not one more and not one less.
5. I still write rhyme! Wheeeeee. I'm old, too.
6. Several WDC members have given great explanations of the forms of poetry, I think a 'search' for "Forms of Poetry" would lead you to those.
Now to the more tricky ones.
I think "essay" and "article" are similar, non-fiction pieces of prose that explain or give a viewpoint about a subject. I'm not sure but I don't think there's any word or paragraph limit. (Someone step in if that's not right!)
A 'monologue' would be when it's one person speaking, the point of view is probably one person only.
Hope this helps.
