Noticing Newbies

Hello! My name is Ashe and after browsing the internet for a good writing community to join, I finally got around to creating a membership here. There are still some confusing points, but I'm sure once I get the hang of everything here I'll be uploading pieces like mad.
I'm always writing or sketching something, and have been that way for as long as I can remember. I learned to appreciate reading and writing at an early age (thanks, mom) and have been that way ever since. I've gotten a couple essays published in high school but that's about the length that's gotten.
Currently I'm working on a fictional story. It's about 60-something pages so far, which is much farther than I expected it to be, but I'm going with it. Other than that I have a few finished short stories that I'll be posting to get some feedback on.
