I got this part done. My essay is waiting upon the un-rusting of my high school brains. I hadn't thought I'd need those smarts this late in life! Interview: *Strides into room with confident air* Hi, I’m Jyo participating in this round of Author’s Spotlight and as one of Day 2 tasks I am interviewing previous round winners. *waits for applause and coughs to cover awkward silence* Hrrmm –rrgh! Well, be sure to answer truthfully or dress up your fibs to resemble it. There are no ‘correct answers’ and beauty is on the inside. That always gets applause at a Miss Universe contest but it fell sadly flat today *scrabbles under seat for something elusive* I would have doffed my hat to you in respect for your win, but I can’t find it to put it on! Let’s start shall we – lights! Action! Pens at the ready! Q1 Why do you enter contests in general? (MCQ type, chose any one or more of the following:) For the prizes For the practice of writing to a specific prompt For Inspiration and challenge To make Friends and read/review other entries Just wandered in and liked the look Any other choice but its gotta be zany and inventive Q2. Why this particular contest? Did it have anything different from the others? Q3. Do you feel contest entries need to be given public reviews that show a reason behind the ranking choice? Q4. Have you ever disagreed with a judges rating or ranking? What did you do about it? Q5. Did you know you would win this contest, deep down inside? Or did you have flutterbyes in your tug? *Gives a loud hiccup* I mean butterflies in your gut? No, it isn't what you think. Scares always give me the hiccups! Q6. How do you think this experience changed you or your writing style? Q7. Name the one most precious thing you took back from the contest. Q8. Name one co-contestant’s writing you admire (from any season) and state why. Q9. If you had the chance to give one piece of sage advice to the contestants – what would it be? Q10. If you could say anything you wanted – with impunity – to the creator of this contest, what would it be? *Rings a bell with firm hand* That’s all, you have 24 hrs to compose your answers. *Looks around with furtive air* I can’t promise prizes, but there will be surprises! Good Luck! *Sits down and prepares to wait* |
