A Time to Give Thanks

First, for friends like you! *hugs*

Second, even though many of our rights have been limited or imposed upon, I am thankful to live in a country where I am free to speak my mind.

I am also thankful to have been raised by such amazing people. There are so many stories going around about the things that hateful people are spouting. I'm thankful that I was raised with a very limited access to racial tensions. I never considered race, and don't take it into consideration when I meet new people. We're all humans and it doesn't matter where we hail from. I am so glad that I have been taught to think this way rather than to hate.

Most people grow up with four-letter words you aren't supposed to use. My grandmother always told me that hate is a four letter word. We may not like the things that people do, but we do not hate. "Love the sinner, hate the sin."
