A place to mingle and meet friends. |
Thanks for the welcome! As you know my name is Cheryl. As I figure this site out, I look forward adding some info to my profile. I'm pretty excited that I found this writing group. I've heard and read over and over again how it's important to join a writer's group but I wasn't sure how easy or hard that would be. Especially being LDS and gearing most of my writings toward LDS and Christian/Inspirational in general, I didn't know how well I would be received in some of the groups. I look forward to getting to know everyone, making friends and seeing the writing talents of those in the group! =D I do have my own website. It is www.cheryldsolis.com . I also have a blog "The Ramblings of Cheryl's Mind" at www.cheryldsolis.blogspot.com . I need to get a little better about blogging but I'm working on it. ;) I've also written several poems over the years and some are showcased on my website in "Cheryl's Poetry Place". As for my E-book, it is titled, "Blessings in Disguise". It is a novel. I'm working on getting it ready for submission for publication. I have a friend in my ward who has worked as an editor for a couple of publishing companies out in Utah. She's looking over it to give me some feedback to help me prepare it for submission. I'll have to let you know how that goes. I suppose "Blessings in Disguise" would be categorized as an LDS Romance novel. However, it's also a conversion story. Here is a little blurb from the site: **Jessica Thompson already made one of the most difficult decisions of her life…or so she thought. When she moves to a new town and meets Bryan, a returned missionary, Jessica has no idea that she will be faced with an even greater decision to make. Perhaps the most difficult and most important decision she will ever make in her life. Is she ready to face the consequences? Is she willing to tear her family apart? Or is she willing to let go of the one thing that gave her eternal hope? Only time will tell.** You can read the Prologue on the website by clicking on the E-books tab at the top and then clicking on the link at the left of the page. Again, thanks for the welcome! Cheryl |
