When I introduced Helena to the story and you had me write up a description of the vampire race, the way vampires came to be was slightly different than you've described here, and different than what appears in the race description on the campfire... If I remember correctly, a human scientist named something or another starting with an "M" made the first vampire by brutally torturing, killing and eating the flesh of a demon. That first vampire was, of course, him. Then he Made two other vampires, a male and a female, by feeding them his blood. Evrae and Laziik, I think were the names of those two Progeny, though I may be wrong/have mistyped them. Evrae was the "good" one who wanted vampires to blend with human society. Laziik was the "evil" one who wanted vampires to rule over human society. Demons hate vampires because they're basically considered usurpers of demon strength and power... literally.
