Write poetry from prompts just for the fun of it; formal or free verse, you pick.

45. Poem To Fog
by A Non-Existent User
I wish I could see
how the sun did flee
from my heart's very glee,
leaving dewy drops on my knee

Myriad emotions sparked my heart
but this mystery I could never sort
Happy I was, but felt restless, caught
amidst this dark, dense demon I sought

To alleviate the darkness inside
Which the sunlight shall not let preside
Amidst my heart's endless suppressed stride
Love, laughter, none was heard, but just the tide

People aren't cruel, though nature is hectic
But my writing went up the attic
What adjective to use? Terrible, terrific?
Amidst this wondrous highway traffic

All I can say to you, my fog
Is let the kennels free my dog
And lessen his endless suffering in the hog
And make alive my writing: glimmering through the smog.

Please feel free to comment. But this one was spontaneous, so forgive the typos, Joy.
