Drop your new ideas into the Writing.Com Suggestion Box! |
Hi! I waited for you to post before posting myself. You took care of what little I had to say, but I have a suggestion for those who want it. For 'comments only', the author can create a static item, or book if they can, and link one (or more) of their item(s) and then paste all feedback they get. They can link to the reviewers as well. They can then place the link to this new static in their item(s), so that new readers can click and read the comments. The reviewer that wants others to see the review, which cannot be seen by others with the 'comment only' option, can also do the same; create a static or book item and link to the item reviewed and paste their review there. This way, others can view the feedback and it goes for those who review the reviewers as well. Another use for it, make more items available for reviewing contests that require a public review. Not a perfect solution, but for an interim one, I think it holds the road up your To-Do List. If it does not hold the road, I'll walk. Another suggestion which can be applied with any of the options, is to put a paragraph to explain what kind of review the author needs. Be it for spelling, grammar, syntax, dialog, characters, descriptions, rhyming, help with specific poetry genres etc. it can be just a sentence that could even fit the brief description box. It can be useful when posting their item in a review forum or in a plug page. It works both ways, reviewers can make their kind of reviewing known to authors as well. Chatou |
