A question for you all!

The purpose of this workshop was to help the participants "open up", find the emotions within them and voice these directly in a poem.

Very soon, even before starting the workshop, it became clear that in general you all are already quite emotional people, don't have so much problems to open up, but are more interested in starting to write emotional, or beautiful, poetry...

My idea is that we should go ahead on this path, to just write poetry...poetry from the heart, nevertheless.

But if any of you wants to give further attention to "opening up", please tell. For that we would have to dive into more psychological exercises, which are available in the links Anne and I collected when researching for the workshop. Personally I didn't need psychological exercises to open up in a poem; for me they are too soft so to speak. Yet I think they will be perfect for someone who has trouble to recognize what's living within him or her.

If you are interested in the more psychological approach, don't hesitate to tell! We shall add that, next to the track of trying to let you all write more (poetic) poetry. Not that we are completely leaving the track of confessional poetry, but we won't go very deep into that anymore.
