This is a support question, rather than suggestion. The public reviewing page does currently follow the privacy of an item and does not display reviews for private items publicly, at all.
If an item is private and a member reviews it publicly, the review is only shown to anyone who has access to view the item. In fact, even if a member has passkey or group access to an item, it will NOT show to them. Members viewing the public review page must fall within the access level of privacy as set by the item's owner.
