Viveka Aslaug (betrothed-to-god) Viveka=war When she was born to a fairly respected but absent warrior (human, well respected) of a father and his wife(human, a beauty, ancestor Geirskögul) the planets were aligned as such and the druid was high enough to decide that Viveka, as the baby girl was christened, was to be betrothed to a god or deity, but stated that he could not forsee which, how powerful or who, effectively cursing the girl to a life of lonliness as no sane man would touch a girl that wass technically betrothed to any form of deity, and effectively meaning she could not travel for fear that she should meet the wrong one who could decide to claim her on a whim. He also couldn't work out whether it actually meant that she was meant to become a valkyrie like her great grandmother (Geirskögul) to restore the family's honour, because the druid worked out "meant for deity" and nothing more, which was fairly ambiguous. So they named her Viveka aslaug to cover both options She assists the druid now with healing potions, although is not allowed to take part in any ceremonies. Her younger brothers train her in swordsmanship (in case) and she is a fierce and sharp fighter but, aswell as knowing how to catch a boar, she can cook it. Young, but not for much longer Her life is spent in wait for a destiny that is too vague to follow and she despairs to even think of it occuring. Some part of her wants to seek out Odin and the gods just to get it over with, but there is too much in the way and her father is old. Striking but angular features, white blonde hair, strongly built, violet eyes, pretty and charming, and absoloutely bored out of her skull because no man will touch her and, as such, she has nothing to talk about with most women. weary and tired but still beautiful as she approaches aging. She is friends with more eccentric people through her connection with the druid, and despite her fairly high born position. As the only girl, the druid's prediction meant that she cannot really advance her family in terms of clans, alliances or children until either she is claimed or turned. and that may never happen. two of her six brother's has been chosen to ascend to asgard already, one is earning his own reputation (her closest), one is a bastard, one is learning and the other is still just a boy. Proud. stubborn but weary. |
