I had the same issues until I joined this site because I had no one to show my work to.
If I showed it to family, they would say it was great even if it stunk and I was too nervous to show it to friends.
Posting your work on the site will give you constructive criticism and also give you the confidence to keep doing what you love.
Then you'll be able to show it to family and friends with pride.
