Hello from a Newbie

Hello everyone! I am new to this web site and I am an aspiring writer. I have not explored the site much, other than curiosity browsing. I do, however, have a question. How do I join various groups? There are several that look interesting and have a wealth of information to offer new writers like myself. I cannot find out how to join the groups though. Can someone please help this poor lost Newbie?
