The book is "Weaveworld" - loved it too, I read it after The Books of Blood and The Damnation Game.
Anybody remember the film adaptation of "Cabal" staring David Cronenberg as the psycho killer - there was some sexy monsters in that one too. - Nightbreed.
Then there was Lord of Illusions with Scott Bakula from Quantum Leap (loved that series).
And just recently Saints & Sinners - wasn't too sure of that one, not much that I remember about it (so that probably speaks volumes )
