Oh yes I agree. The classic films added that touch because they did not depend on special effects, but the talent of their settings and actors. I always found myself it to be a bit more chilling to watch a movie that is in black and white. It makes me have to look at other things instead of the colors that can impact a movie. Does this mean i don't like gore, no, but I do find these movies very compelling.
