I mix it up, between waiting for the Muse or by forcing my self to write. I usually tend to force myself though, since if I don't I will probably never finished anything. When I come to a part that I don't care for, or I think is lame or stupid, I tend to give up, so forcing myself is beneficial. I find that when I do force myself to sit and write, that the Muse will come to me, after I start one or two sentences. Sometimes it doesn't so then I know that I should probably wait a little and give myself time to let ideas simmer and give creativity its chance to work a little more. So, hopefully you understood all that. :)
