I enjoyed your "Unsung Hero." It surprises me that you weren't aware of what you were doing, at least while you were doing it, but I take your word that it was done completely unconsciously.

I can't believe I didn't think of this before, but I also have an example of layering in the "Dear Me"  letter I wrote about my project in progress that I described above. In it, I not only write about the story its layered message, but about the struggle of writing about a character who doesn't want to reveal herself too completely. I knew what I was doing at the time.
