I think a "lite" version of WDC would be a nice idea, as I know at least one member who has dial-up who is much more unhappy than I about the changes.
The changes have made the WDC pages smaller which means they take less time to download on dialup. Why a dialup user would be unhappy about smaller pages, I'm just not sure.
