The Romance of Lust by Anonymus. But that is only if you like Victorian era novels, I like Regency and Gothic novels because I prefer to write about interracial relationships and these novels offer quite a bit of contrast from hero and heroine. Rich to poor, tall to short, mischevious to innoncent, vampie to mortal. I guess it depends on your definition of classic.
