Thanks for responding. I agree with almost everything you wrote. In fact 4 of your commandments are very similar to 4 of mine.

         Thou shalt not treat children wihout respect
         Thou shalt not treat the opposite sex as anything but your equal.
         Thou shalt not think your path to God is the only true way.
         Thou shalt not hate anyone because of what they look like or believe in.'

I agree with all but one of the others but don't give them the same importance that you do. I'd put them in maybe my top 30 or 40 rather than my top 20.

My objection: Thou shalt not read the National Enquirer. Surely you jest! What else is one to do while standing in a superket line. How else is one to learn the latest on Bat Boy (or is that one of those other rags?) Maybe Thou shalt not believe the National Enquirer would be the command of a more merciful god.

Ahem. More seriously, reading the National Enquirer is protected by the right to free speech. Since the Bill of Rights is as sacred a document to me as any religious text, I have to respectfully disagree with a ban on any reading material.
