Awarding MBs and Awardicons from a Group

Many of us create groups to run activities here and to keep from intermingling our own gps with gps that are meant to go with an activity. Is there a way that it would be possible to allow groups to purchase merit badges and awardicons the way that they can sponsor items through group bids?
