Hi!

Just to add that within signature-blocks, I think 400X400 is too big but as banners or headers above poems or stories, they are good as they are or could go a bit bigger but not too much.

Writing and imaging go together though.

I think that if there was to have bigger limits on images, it would be for animations (got my suggestion post here somewhere).

The problem is the space they take on the server more than anything I think. I was in another site that allowed bigger images and making our own backgrounds either in huge image or tiled or lefties (200X200 max image with the rest to the right being a solid colour to help reading), but people tend to go overboard.

But, to have more capactiy for higher memberships, then that I'd like to see!

As for Ryan's problem, I work my images huge and resize them. If you want to show details of your artwork, not just have them bigger in siggies etc.. you can zoom in and crop parts of it and load them separately like I've seen done here. I use VuePrint to crop, resize, convert or brighten. I prefer it to using photoshop for that.
