Back cover text for "The Tale of Karryn".

The Tale of Karryn is the prequel to The Mage of Dylar. The ghost of Nemond the Green tells the story of the events that set the stage for the first and second Dark Wars upon the Isle of Dylar.

The ruthless Phantom horde was unmatched in strength, ability and cunning among all the brigand bands of the northwest. Soon they would rule them all. It could be that Karryn would rule the very guild that Dylar the Grey himself commissioned upon the Isle.

Teahl, the first High Wizard of the Guild in Ryviton, must learn to his horror that Karryn, formerly called Palamay, is in fact, the son he never knew he had.

Will Teahl’s sense of honor cause him to commit a seat on the Guild to Karryn, or will Karryn’s dealings with the black arts disqualify him from ever taking the seat he so desires? Will the prophecy of the Priest of the Esterns be fulfilled in Karryn and will the witches of the Coven of Seven ever realize their darkest dreams by his hand?

These questions and more are answered between the pages of this, the second explosive book in Paul H. Kogel’s Dylarian Chronicles.
