I get that totally. I think partly as writers we can be much more sensitive to things that we shouldn't take personally. It's that sensitivity that generally make us the writers we are. My problem is I internalize things and I'm my worst critic. I so often don't enter contests and sutff not because I think somone will tell me they aren't good enough but because I don't think they are good enough. I'm not a good enough writer. That may or may not be true in reality but it's how I am.
I know I'm never going to get anywhere unless I actually submit something. I'm going through a lot of changes (for the better) that basically means I've been coming out of my shell more and more and I'm more ready now to actually submit something than I would have been a year ago. I think I would be lost without this forum. Thanks everyone!
