Stephen King thought "Carrie" was junk and threw it in the trash. Tabitha, Stephen's wife, fished the manuscript out of the trash and convined him to submit it to a publisher. The rest, as they say, is history. Uniqazdacome offers some great advice. Ignore the ghost in your head and focus on telling a story. Easier said than done, but it can be done. Nearly 175,000 manuscripts were sold last year in the US alone, many of them by first time authors. I'll wager 98%+ of those authors felt self-doubt at one time of another. They managed to overcome it. You can, too.
