The exact crutch words vary from writer to writer. Overuse of adverbs and forms of the verb 'to be' are a common problem.
My personal ones are looked, glanced, shrugged, and -ing words. I have to mercilessly cut out the -ing words during the rewrite. They're just so easy to use, but they soften my writing.
