I never really thought about it that way, but that seems to be my one major obstacle. My major failing as a writer is that I don't put enough on paper (or computer. Whatever.) It's a largely mental process for me, and I typically plan out the whole story in my head and then, before I can jot down more than a few pages, I get distracted with a different idea, then start mapping that out.
Unfortunately I don't know of anything that helps. I have a ton of stories that I've done nothing with. Oh, well, at least they're there. To me that's more important, to have those good ideas down. I suppose the actual writing will come over time.
