Liam Jackson proposed: Terry Brooks catches flack from time to time for writing weak stories or knock offs of LoTR. I happen to like his style agreat deal, and don't want to start a debate regarding his talent. But I'll say this: The guy is a master of the prologue. He understands its value and he works it like few others.
Amen! I'll second that motion! I've only read a few of his books, but his prologues always managed to capture the essential/non-essential quality I prefer.
