Wow. All of this has left me just as indicisive as I was to begin with. Maybe if I explain what I'm trying to do I could change the question a little, keep it from being so general. The storay that I'm writing is going to be split into sections. The first section is going to begin around the time two of my characters meet but I was going to have a prologue that was a scene from where the SECOND section begins. So the first section was going to be a bit of a flash back. I thought that would work better because I didn't want to start my story with a slow section and would rather have something a little more exciting right at the front. But because I'm going to be splitting it into sections, what I was going to put in the prologue wouldnt really fit into the time frame of the first section so I dont feel like it would make sense to make it "chapter one".
Does that make any sense, or am I just rambling? What do you think?
