Completely true many of your points. If you don't remember it then it prolly wasn't meant to be. I always try to remember what I've thought of but sometimes it just doesn't happen. You can get small notebooks to jot down ideas and keep it in a bag if you carry one or car or pocket even. When I don't have paper I use the notepad section of my cell phone. It's not a whole lot of room but just to get general ideas or feelings down it works pretty well. I even used it one night sitting at the beach because I wanted to remember the sights (the fog bank sat out on the water and the moon was shining through really cool) and smells from that night.
