Unfortunately, I must disagree with you on this point.

While you did come across a startling revelation in that evolution has somehow taken the ultimate predator and turned it into the ultimate prey (Perhaps we should put a stop to evolution?), you are mistaken that chickens have evolved past the point of requiring heads.

The fact of the matter is that chickens are simply so stupid that they don't realize they don't have heads. Of course, with a brain that helps them as little as theirs normally does, how could they be expected to?

Imagine your appendix is missing. Would you notice? No. Because it's dead-weight, just taking up space (Mental note: New, revolutionary weight-loss technique. Call it "the appendexercise," develop technique to exercise enough that the appendix falls out.), or possibly even hindering existance. The same is true for the chicken's brain.



Not that it would surprise me if an organism as stupid as chickens kept their brain in their ass, but, pending research, I'll stick with my theory.
