I've seen it done before. Jeffrey Archer's book As the Crow Flies was done from multiple viewpoints, each first person. I think he did it well. Loved the book. You have to be very careful to make it clear whom you're writing about each time, so it doesn't get confusing to the reader. Switching at a chapter break seems the best idea. The technique of multiple first person views gives the reader insights that each individual character may not have. I think it's a great tool if used well and the story calls for it.
