Would it be possible to flag all confirmation emails as "read" so they don't show up as "nn new"? That is, copies of cNotes sent, copies of journal comments (nice to have a record of them, but if I just typed it, I've already read it), etc.

This could include "routine" gift point notifications from the system - for logging on, for reviewing someone you've not reviewed before, for receiving auto-rewards, etc. (not for the unexpected kind, like gifts from individual members - just for the ones you know are coming).

I just don't like it when I get my hopes up, thinking I've got new mail, and it's essentially from me or a program.

Minor tweak there, but I know how some people like to tweak...
