I wanted the option to Review an item without Rating it.
I read one poem that I felt I was not qualified to rate, because it was written by a war veteran, and, although I am an Army National Guard soldier, I have never gone into a war zone, and I cannot truly know what that would be like, so I must take it on faith that the author was describing the experience accurately.

I wished only to write a comment in this case. I first stated to the author that I felt I was not qualified to rate her poem, and then I discovered I had no choice but to rate it anyway, or I would not be able to post my "review" comments! I think it is a rarity that someone might wish to solely review a piece without rating it--for one thing, rating an item almost always takes less time--but it would be nice to have that option for such rare occasions as the one I've just described.

Thank you for considering my suggestion!

And thank you for a truly wonderful site attended by an extraordinary group of people!!
