What you should do is sit down with a huge bowl of ice cream and as you eat it, start to write about it--the taste, the texture, the type of people who eat it, what type of situation someone would be eating it in--before you know it, you have something flowing like crazy out of your head (aside from melted ice cream) and you can get back to whatever it was you were trying to do!
