Absolutely! You're never too young to write - and I hope no one misunderstood me earlier - if you don't start writing young, you'll be hard-pressed to become a writer later in life (though that, too, happens). Your skills now are not what they will be in ten, fifteen, twenty years. Your characters will deepen as you mature and experience more of life. What you write about will be richer for the things you try and do and experience. And all the while, the more you write and practice and the more you read, the better your skills will become. A lot of becoming a good writer has to do with your willingness to admit that you've still got things to learn, and can improve - being able to accept constructive criticism without crumbling or losing your own unique voice or your confidence in the process - staying humble and open to growth.
