Spring 2006 SLAM! - Congrats to the winners - see you all next time! |
"Just Due" ![]() We started our life so carefree. Two young lovers looking ahead, we decided to tie the knot. He promised to take care of me, at the alter where we were wed. Yet those were vows he soon forgot. At first a party, being free; no parents, rules, or times for bed, and no worries of getting caught. But then I felt reality come crashing down upon my head. All the fun and furniture bought had to be paid for in some way. Soon regret for the shopping spree was joined by a feeling of dread. Looking around at all we got with a pile of bills next to me the despair inside me spread. The lesson was a hard one taught. Creditors called to talk to me while hubby lay sleeping in bed. My avoidance was all for naught. Finally came the court decree and my loving, sweet husband fled. The days went by, I worked a lot as I had many dues to pay. |
