"Invalid Item" ![]() she took away my life, threw out the poems in my blue notebook raping tender adolescent thoughts of a lifetime dream journals erased, not just extra paper for the recycling bin… she took away my life, accusing, with a glaring look a shrill voice, how dare you, knowing so well how to scream I prayed, but could never become deaf to escape the din she took away my life, stealing love with the swiftness of a crook withholding affection, I could not earn her esteem her fickle judgment so severe, innocence was my only sin she took away my life, with little effort, for like a leaf I shook humiliated, belittled and frightened, the result of her scheme I became an emptiness of hollow noise, a cheap drum of tin quietly I kept only a myriad of sounds from my piano she took away my life, her guilt cannot be mistook to confuse love with hate, appeared to be her theme against her excessive need for perfection, I could not win… she took away my life, diluted in dead water from a rocky brook somehow gaining speed, to disappear farther downstream away from the grinning smiles of all I called kin she took away my life, till I was left with only a tiny nook where I still hide, writing simple words used to redeem a tinge of love and self-respect, yes, one day this too must begin, for she can not take my life, all her might could not overlook my nascent talents, from mightier than she, a gift so supreme songs of a goodness welling up from deep within my piano, its myriad of sounds, teaches me this new credo from deep within 31 may, 2006 ****************************************************************** ****************************************************************** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
