Spring 2006 SLAM! - Congrats to the winners - see you all next time! |
"Invalid Item" ![]() Remembering, to this day, I still don’t understand. When the school play drew near, Why would I enter the fray? Putting up my hand, and risking a jeer. The role was easy to play, to mingle silently as planned. A simple task to adhere, Props for me included a tray. Offering wine on demand. No lines to learn, gave less fear, My mood, far from blue. Opening night got underway, The small town hall had no band. Bravely noting what I chose so clear. Footlights ablaze, about to portray. Unable to see far was easy to withstand, beyond the first row of seats there. Moving round, offering a buffet, With a friendly smile, feeling grand, That was oft returned, perhaps sincere. No longer told by most, go away, enjoying it temporarily firsthand. A lesson I learned that year, they were acting too. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
