City of Dreams


The airplane swoops in--
YES, I'M HERE!
The city lights are on fire,
The sky is clear...

The airport is crawling,
with tourist galore;
looking to cash in
the big time score.

The slot machines are singing,
as far as I can see...
"cha" "ching" "cha" "ching"...
"de" "da" "de" "de" "de"...

The signs are staring,
they glimmer real pretty;
one posts spells out--
'Welcome to Sin City!'

Everyone's excited!!
My heart is beating loud...
people quickly grab their luggage
and run for the taxi's outside.

Enclosed inside my Circus Circus room--
sleep starts to creep in;
I refuse stubbornly
and head to Margaritaville.

Walking down the strip
the hotels glow beautifully,
I'm wishing, I'm wishing:
Wishing this was my home city!

It never stops--
Vaaaaaarrrrrrooooom, the cars go past...
the heat continues to climb;
this place is rapid!!

A dreaming girl's fantasy:
a metropolis of lost craters--
a municipality that truly never sleeps...
Welcome to Las Vegas!
