SLAM!

Apollo 11

Captivated by an image, I stare.
Transported to another world,
Through scenes in shades of gray.

One step, one leap, and
My imagination soars.
The Eagle landed,
Yet now my mind begins to fly.

I wonder at this new horizon,
As the dreamer awakens within,
The boundaries and constraints
Of reason and reality, release their grip.
I slip beyond their pull upon my thoughts.
Awe and wonder fill the empty space,
Once occupied by ignorance and predictability.

Enlightened and inspired, I dream.
Worlds of possibility now within my reach,
I respond to this cosmic invitation.

What lies beyond these new discoveries?
I have yet to see, or dream.
