Do you write for publication? What markets? Use market guides? Which ones?

I Want to Be Published in Hard Copy form
I love when I get a review which mentions saleability or submitting for publication. I think this is a good forum for me.

I've got the 2005 Writers Market for Childrens Writers & Illustrators and need to subscribe to the online market listings. I've been researching storybook publishers and that is going slow. I'm getting tired of that No MS welcome message and it's various incarnations.

I'd like to try magazines, but I don't know children's magazines very well so I don't know where to start so I'm reading in the magazine section of WMCWI as a start. *Reading*

I think I have a writer's heart,
that with attention and nurture, can become a good writer.
A writer's heart, by itself, does not necessarily equate to being a good writer.
