Describe With A Twist! |
I apologise for posting here, I have reached my limit on my free membership :) The sea roars as its surface undulates wildly- capping the deep and turbulent waters with a frothy menace similar in appearance to the snow-tipped peaks in the distance. Those peaks which mark the safety of land to the travellers, lost in the uncertain weather and thinking of their loved ones safe at home and wishing to join or even comfort them. Still however the mystifying and beautiful expression of the raw power of nature towering before them refuses to allow them to divert their gaze, thundering mightily around them and threatening to dismount them from their shallow brown vessels- which feel now much like useless planks or floating basins lost in the endless fury that surrounds them. How such passion and awe can be torn from within a threatened and endangered man is one of the mysteries that they speak of around these waters and the nearby islands and understandably so. Much like the fabled dragons of the local folklore, the strong water-towers sink and dive before climbing majestically out of the water to reveal their magnificent heads –menacing, frightening but somehow remarkably beautiful- before plunging down and hitting the surface again. All the while, the still sky though painted affectionately in the same colours as the treacherous sea, remains in stark contrast to the reflection below: slowly drifting clouds and a dulled yellow sunset instil tranquillity and peace into their beholders. Oh if only the brave sailors could divert their eyes from their aggressors and peer up at the calming heavens! Instead a compelling, enticing insanity of fear, power and colourful chaos swirls around and engulfs them from all direction. Life at its most inspiring drags them closer and closer to death, and the adrenaline rush of experiencing the extreme pulses through each and every man present. Danger itself pulses through their bodies. |
