Suggestion Box

Greetings!

Here are the ideas that have come to me that might prove beneficial (and realistically implemented) for this site!

Notes for Author Favorites
         Frankly, it can be difficult for me to remember why various authors are on my favorites. Is it because they offer wonderful reviews? Their stories are incredible? I have agreed to review them or they have agreed to review me? Being able to write short annotations for these would be wonderful!

WritingML Formatting Tags for Scripts
         Perhaps creating a tag that operates much like the <p></p> tag in HTML with a default indentation would work well.

Code Format Tag for WritingML
         I would also absolutely love to see a WritingML tag that operates like the <code></code> tag in HTML. It could add a lot to writings, I believe.

More Efficient Item Editing
         It would be wonderful if we could select an area of text, and have an 'edit selection' button. A popup would then appear, letting us change the selection, and save it in the document (refreshing the document thereafter). I'm not certain how practical the coding would be, but it would be very spiffy!

Flash Fiction Item Type
         I love to write flash fiction pieces, but, alas, there is no category for it! A 'flash' category would be really nice, as I am certain that I'm not the only one who writes such pieces (especially considering there are 50/55-word contests on here!).

Costumicons for Portfolio Folders
         I believe that the title more or less describes it. It would be just plain neat! :)

Easier GP donations
         It would be wonderful to see a GP symbol next to authors and works so that it is easy to donate to them. This would be especially useful for groups and contests with entry fees.

Author Update Notification
         I agree with the others on this, although the author should have the option to disable the notification when he updates it, in the case that he is just making a few corrections here and there.

Calendar
         Also a great idea! I support it!

Bugs: One issue that I notice is that when I update an item, use the back button to modify it again, then save it again, it saves the changes into another copy of the item. While the fact that it does this is understandable (and one could argue that I could be more patient and use the menu's), it would be nice if it simply overwrote!

Questions: I have read that the community recognition points increase your influence in the community. Is this strictly due to others' reactions to you, or are there actual differences in how the system works (ie: additional features)? It would be neat if additional features became available.
